Protecting our young artists

1. Verifiable consent for every artist

No child’s work or information appears on Stroke of Hope without the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, and, where applicable, the school. This consent covers showing the artwork, sharing the limited details we publish, and selling the piece on the child’s behalf.

2. Only limited, non-identifying information is shown

3. No direct contact with the children

Buyers and members of the public do not, and may not, contact the young artists directly. All communication is mediated by us and the child’s parent or guardian. If you would like to pass on a message of encouragement, you are welcome to send it to bot@botandbotty.com and we will share it appropriately.

4. How proceeds support the artist

Every sale puts money directly behind the young artist who created the piece, supporting their materials, education and dreams, alongside our wider mission. We are committed to handling these proceeds responsibly and transparently with the family and school.

5. Image & likeness

Where a child’s portrait or likeness is shown, it is only with the same verifiable parent or guardian consent, and only in a way that respects their privacy and dignity. A family may ask us to remove or limit a child’s image at any time.

6. Raising a safeguarding concern

If you ever have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child connected to Stroke of Hope, please tell us immediately at bot@botandbotty.com. We take every concern seriously, act on it promptly, and will involve the appropriate guardians and authorities where needed.

7. Zero tolerance for exploitation

We have zero tolerance for any exploitation, abuse or endangerment of the children we work with. Anyone who attempts to misuse this platform to harm or inappropriately contact a child will be removed and reported. Protecting these children is a responsibility we hold above commercial interest, always.
